           The movie was based on the popular Philippine television soap opera or primetime drama series aired on ABS-CBN from 1992 - 1997.

          Mara and Clara were switched at birth in the nursery when they were born, and the details of this event were recorded by Kardo, a hospital staff, in his diary. Mara lived as the poor daughter of the couple Susan and Gary Davis and Clara, their real daughter, was brought up by the rich Amante and Almira del Valle.

          The good-natured del Valle couple takes in Mara as a servant and decides to spend for her education not knowing that she is their real daughter. Gary, who is actually a gang/syndicate leader, approves of the idea that Mara lives with the del Valles to extort money. Clara makes life for Mara difficult. But, as time progresses, they find their true identity in the spotlights, damages are paid, and they all know where they stand.

Carding (Leopoldo Salcedo) and Tomas (Ramon Revilla) are undercover agents assigned to get the dreaded 1-2-3 Gang. In a bid to get closer to the gang, Carding and Tomas assume gay identities "Carlita" and "Julieta" respectively. They even put up a beauty salon called "Matandang Pa-Charming" (loosely translated as old-flirts") which also serves as their base of operations. Meanwhile, Carding's girlfriend Flor (Anabelle Huggins), is experiencing strained family relations on account of a homosexual older brother. What if it turns out that Flor's troublesome brother, and the mysterious gang leader Señora, are one and the same person? Can Carding still see it that justice will be served?

          Emily is the child of Don Alejandro out of wedlock. Upon Don Alejandro's death, Emily was adopted by his wife, Magdalena living in a beautiful estate left by her father. She hates Emily so much and she plans her revenge on her.

          Emily had a vision of Gloria, the only daughter of Don Alejandro Ramirez and Magdalena, who died in her teens. She often sees her at night. Gloria at only sixteen years old at the time fell in love with Dante Magat, the trusted tenant of family's ranch but when her mother discovered about their relationship, she opposed it because Dante is a poor man and is not an ideal man for her daughter. Dante then voluntarily left the estate and disappeared mysteriously while Gloria died in extreme depression.

          Emily fell in love with Diego Magat, the trusted tenant of the family and brother of Dante Magat. He replaced Dante as the tenant of the rancho Ramirez. Emily's foster mother is against their relationship. Emily instead was courted by Carlos favorite son of Magdalena and plans their marriage. One night she was raped by Abel, the black sheep of the family and eloped with him on the eve of her marriage. Magdalena scheming plan is coming true to Emily. Emily has a life of misery and hell with Abel. Meanwhile, Carlos got married to Mercedes his childhood sweetheart.

   When he discovered Emily is pregnant, he went back to ranch to see Diego and engage him in a fight. Abel was bitten by a snake and was saved by Diego and due to jealousy; Abel cut Emily's hair short. Emily gave birth to their baby and Abel took it and left it in the ranch bushes while Mercedes also gave birth to her son with Carlos. Emily at last found her child.

Her daughter, however, decides to run away but is later spurned by her suitor and his offer of a respectable life. Even the timely arrival of a two-beat magician, Rey, who hastily proposes marriage, fails to prevent the escalating tension as the mother-daughter conflict takes its worst turn culminating in the characters' fiery destruction.

She vowed to raise her family from poverty and when that time comes, she would take her revenge from those that had oppressed them.

Talipandas is an adventure komiks novel created by Francisco Coching, serialized in Espesyal Komiks in 1958, and adapted into a movie in the same year. Sampaguita Pictures adapted Talipandas into a feature film in 1958. It was directed by Conrado Conde and starred Rita Gomez, Luis Gonzales, Van de Leon and Carlo Salazar.

When her mother dies from a beating by Raul (Van de Leon), the father who had abandoned them even before she was born, Esperanza (Rita Gomez) vows to seek out Raul and try to avenge her mother’s death.

Esperanza starts working as a cabaret singer and soon she has many suitors, among them, Raul, whom she does not recognize and who now goes under the alias of George. Esperanza also meets Bien (Luis Gonzales), a young man who is feuding with Andy (Carlos Salazar), his brother, for whom he had served time in prison but who repaid him by stealing his fiancée.

Esperanza fights against her growing love for Bien, wanting to devote all her time to finding Raul. She starts to suspect that George is really Raul and lays trap for him. This causes a misunderstanding with Bien who leaves her.

Not knowing that Esperanza is his daughter, Raul also lays plans to possess her, with the aid of his men, among them, Andy. The story reaches a tense climax with Esperanza, Bien, Raul and Andy coming face to face, each with a violent purpose. In this situation, Esperanza reveals herself to Raul who is stunned to learn that the girl he intends to ravish is his own daughter. It is also in this situation that Bien and Andy come to grips. But at the end, justice and love wins.

Everyone was so excited until the danger and threats to their lives begin and there is no turning back. They have to enjoy the journey and they have to fight in order to survive as they mingle with the good and bad natives of Mindoro.

The film is based on the popular television soap opera or drama series, it follows Esperanza's (Judy Ann Santos) search for her real family. It seems that Esperanza's mother, Isabel, and father Juan Selgado, got married without the approval of Isabel's mom. To be together Isabel refused to marry the man her mother promised her to, Jaime Elustre, and Juan left the girl he had been dating at the time, Sandra.

As the years went by Isabel gave birth to three kids, two daughters and a son. One day Esperanza's mother took her, her sister and brother on a bus trip to visit someone. Due to a bus accident, they got separated and had Juan believing all of them to be dead. This is the start of the ensuing drama. The film and drama series official theme song of the same title is performed by April Boy Regino.

Rosalie (Rosemarie Sonora) is a boyish lass who earn a living as a scavenger and takes care of her nephew and niece living with her sister and her abusive husband Conrado. However, one time while dealing with a junk shop owner she left them in the makeshift wagon which was almost hit by a car driven by their father. He is outrage and wants Rosalie to leave their home. Rosalie voluntarily consented and left home. She stayed at the house of her friend, Juanito (German Moreno) meeting his brother Papaito who doesn't like the idea of her staying there and their mother who loves Rosalie to stay. The two doesn't like each other but Rosalie found out soon that Papaito is secretly admiring her and always nagging her keeps his love for her. Rosalie has a friend Rosa who was a pretty, rich Chinese whom Rosalie always dreaming to be like her. One time she and Juanito visited Rosa in her grave and by chance met Rosa's family. A family member mistook Rosalie for Rosa because they really look the same. Upon the death of her sister, Rosalie took care of her very young nephew and niece however one night, Conrado forcefully took her and his children to his criminal group hideout living with his mistress. Juanito, Pepito and their friends search for them. Conrado and his group were arrested and Rosalie was saved. On the other hand, Rosa's family who are still grieving on her death saw Rosa again in the news about the rescue and arrest of the criminal group. They invited Rosalie in their house and informed her that she will inherit the house and fortune of Rosa's family which in turn will be going back to China. Rosalie inherited the wealth left by the Chinese family and she married Papaito.

Based on a popular comics novel serialized in Pilipino Komiks from 1953 - 1954, it tells the story of the boy Dumagit who grows up in the jungle with his guardian and animal friends.

Dr. Joaquin Olivar and his pregnant wife Marina hide in a remote island after Olivar was accused of a crime and Marina feared being ostracized. Marina dies after giving birth to a baby boy, David. Olivar takes care of the baby on his own and gives him the nickname Dumagit. Later, Olivar is killed by a group of men who came into the island to hunt animals. Thus, Dumagit grows up with a deer, monkey, and other animals Twenty years later, Federico Olivar, brother of Joaquin Olivar, comes to the island to look for his brother. He brings back Dumagit to civilization but Dumagit decides to stay in the jungle with his amazon girlfriend, Marabini.

This film is the Philippine version of Tarzan.

          Based on the popular Filipino fairytale, Ibong Adarna tells the story of an ailing king who sent his three sons to search for the Ibong Adarna (Adarna bird) as the only cure to his illness and as a reward of whoever catches the bird and bring to him will inherit the throne. Each of the princes went out on their own expedition.

         The youngest son met on the way an old person who is starving and gives him some food to eat. The old person ask the prince where he is going and told him that he is out to search for the mythical bird Adarna and bring it to his father to cure him of his illness. The old person warned him that while the mythical bird has a singing prowess performing beautiful songs, it has a power to make people sleep and turned them into stone by its feces whoever attempts to capture it. To combat this, the old man gave the young prince a dagger and a lime to bled himself and some lime in his wound will keep him awake and alert at all times. The young prince then continue with the expedition and upon reaching the location of the Ibong Adarna, he saw his two prince brothers turned into stone by the Ibong Adarna bird.He uses the lime to turn back his brother to life again and bring the Ibong Adarna to his father who was later cured by the singing of the Ibong Adarna. The young prince became the new king.

          In the kingdom of Berbania, the King is mortally ill and only the singing of the fabled bird can save his life. His three sons, Pedro, Diego and Juan embark on a search for the magical bird. It is an adventure fraught with danger for the bird's mesmerizing singing can put a man to sleep and its subsequent droppings can turn him into stone.

        This is the  Philippines first color film.

          Octavia Moravia (Lolita Rodrigues is a rising superstar who intimidates and challenge the waning singer, Hannah Quintos (Carmen Rosales). Fernando Quintos (Ric Rodrigo), Hannah's son is about to marry Filomena yet on the day of his wedding he fell in love with Octavia, make love and fell drunk. The next day Octavia phoned Hannah to tell her about her son. Hannah went to Octavia's home and to her fury shot Octavia and in the face in front of reporters and cameramen.

          Octavia Quintos who was Fernando's daughter with Octavia Moravia became Miss Philippines and went on to become a successful actress. Octavia Moravia meanwhile return to the country after several years of staying in the United States of America. Octavia Quintos soon discovered her real identity from her adoptive mother Filomena. She took both the arch rival and arch nemesis - her real mother Octavia and her grandmother Hannah to live with her however their demands is to be followed by the younger Octavia much to her disgust and disappointed decided to leave them. The older Octavia and Hannah then looked for her asking for her forgiveness and both agree to bury the hatchet between them and start a life anew and introducing to them her lover (Eddie Gutierrez).

Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure is a 2001 Filipino epic adventure-drama film that revolves around a hidden Yamashita treasure.

Lolo Melo (Armando Goyena) is an old Filipino World War II veteran living in the United States who tells his war stories to his grandson Jobert (Danilo Barrios). Flashbacks to 1944 he tell the story of his participation during World War II, when his troop was ordered to bury the Yamashita treasure. When Lolo gets kidnapped, Jobert goes back to Manila in order to find the hidden treasure and save his grandfather. Jobert finds the clues to a hidden treasure in the coded, wartime diaries of his grandfather. Soon, he and his chums are in hot pursuit of the Yamashita Treasure. But a dangerous mercenaries are also after the prize, Emong (Albert Martinez) a Philippine government official and Naguchi(Vic Diaz) a Japanese World War II veteran.

After introducing the two main characters, the movie proceeds to the mandatory cheesy courting stage, followed by the dramatic stage that will have a tragic turn. STRAY CATS (PUSANG GALA) is an odd but in the end endearing mixture of cinematic styles, soap opera drama, tender little comedy, and hefty measures of relationship philosophy: perhaps this is the Filipino brand of magical realism. Based on a play by Jun Lana and adapted for the screen by Rody Vera and writer/director Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil, the movie boasts a fine little cast and it is the cast's commitment to the project that sets the film sailing.

Boyet (Ricky Davao), a mother-like gay man who takes in stray cats (including the human form), lives in an apartment complex: his next door neighbour is Martha (Irma Adlawan), a successful business woman whose evenings are usually spent alone pining for her often absentee boyfriend of five years, Steve (Reggie Curley). Martha and Boyet are close friends, to the point that Boyet's writing career is focused on the love tangles of Martha as well as his own absentee lover situation with the manipulative Dom (Lauren Novero). Boyet has a live-in 'son', JoJo (Alcris Galura), a lad whose street life as an abandoned boy has stuck the heart of the mothering Boyet. The story bounces between Boyet's and Martha's fantasies about their boyfriends' commitment problems, and while each of the two character's love lives are well defined (both straight and gay and in between!), the method of the story telling makes dissecting fact from fantasy a bit of a challenge. The ending of the film contains a twist that will surprise audiences who expect a light fluffy comedy.

The bar girl plies the flesh trade to make ends meet. She brefriends a beat reporter who shows genuine care for her and the kid. The reporter somewhat plans a reunion with the convicted hustler, the bar girl and the kid in prison. The hustler comes to his senses and belatedly realizes the importance of life. He takes his own, but not without first donating his eyes to his blind daughter. After an operation, the child regains her eyesight. Bar girl and reporter fall in love.

The genius of Brocka is his ability to humanize the proletariat, the dregs that society ignores and turns a blind and cynical eye on. Brocka shows us that there is love, hope and salvation even in crushing poverty and despair.

This movie is a fairy tale. Sentiment is played up and everything falls into place at the last frame. But the Filipino-ness of the feel and pulse of this movie, old as it is, jolts you into questioning your very character as a present-day citizen, living in the very city where the lives depicted in Mukha are as real and constant as Metro Manila's polluted air.

          One time Diego heard about the plans of her adoptive mother, Rosario to kill Manuel upon his winning the election as a town mayor. He sought Manuel and attempt to kill him but Manuel stopped and the fighting ensues. Diego kidnapped Dolores who is unknown to him his twin sister. Menardo (Lito Legaspi), Dolores love interest comes to the rescue and fought Diego in a brawl to save Dolores. However their fighting stopped when one of the bandits told them that Rosario is about to be transferred to Muntinlupa jail. They made a deal that if they rescue Rosario, Diego will be spared and give Dolores her freedom.

          The daring rescue took place however Diego was wounded. Dolores helped to nurse him back to health and fell in love with her but it was found out by Menardo and fighting again ensues. Dolores stop their fighting and inform Diego that she love her like a brother. Later, Diego found out he is the long lost twin brother of Dolores.

          In the end, Rosario was killed and Diego was wounded and captured.

Sarah (Joyce) is not happy about the idea of her mother Vivian (Elizabeth) getting married to Michael (Julio Diaz). But when she confronts her and Vivian describes how happy she is, Sarah eventually gives her consent. Sarah is hesitant about Michael though. She feels that Michael desires her but is helpless because he has Vivian's trust that Vivian even goes out of her way to the two comfortable with each other. All these Sarah confides to her ' friend' Nick (Jay Manalo) with whom she has a relationship which her mother disapproves of. Set against the backdrop of an isolated and solitary lighthouse in a remote island, Parola tells of a man named Juan Moreno (Jaime dela Rosa) falsely accused of murder and sentenced to a jail term. Believed to have been drowned along with the other prisoners in a shipwreck on their way to a penal colony, Juan was swept away on an island where Mang Pekto (Gil de Leon) and his family had isolated themselves. Pekto abandoned city life when he discovered his wife’s infidelity. He took refuge in this island with his daughters Lilian (Norma Blancaflor) and Estrella (Priscilla Cellona) and sister Lalia (Naty Bernardo).

After recuperating, Juan disguised himself as Juaning Marcelino. He soon fell in love with Lilian. However, Rolando (Jaime Castellvi), the captain of the ship that delivers supplies to the family, was also in love with Lilian. He found out Juan’s true identity and informed the authorities about it. Juan was arrested.

For a time, Juan’s case was reopened and with new evidence recovered, he was acquitted. Pekto and his family, on the other hand, went back to the city hoping to live a normal life. Juan and Lilian are eventually reconciled.

Sabina Belmonte is a pretty young lass who live as rascal or petty burglar to satisfy their good for nothing uncle Macario Sakay. Unknown to her, she has a twin Vina who live under the loving care of her aunt (Bella Flores). They did not realize that they are heiress to the wealth left by their father. Their main rivals for the fortune is their grandmother’s, Doña Felicidad (Etang Discher) nephew Manuela (Nenita Navarro) and his son Mando (Rodolfo Garcia) who plan to kill the old woman to inherit the fortune. Their closest friend Eddie (Eddie Gutierrez) and Vergel (Lito Legaspi) together with Sabina's cousins Sulforina (Gina Pareño) and Nipis (German Moreno) helped to foil the evil plan of mother and son to scare and kill Doña Felicidad.          Four young women share on stage their sad love stories hoping to become a Reyna ng  Vicks. The movie ends with the women happily reconciled with their lovers. 

        The laugh-cry riot of 1958 was based on the celebrated DZRH radio drama sponsored by Vicks International. All copyrights are owned by Sampaguita Pictures. 

          First story was that of Susan Villamayor (Susan Roces) who is deeply in love and obsessed with Romeo (Romeo Vasquez). She will just do anything to get him even if she needs to lie,  and get into trouble with other women who will try to get her man. One time she asked her friend to call Romeo that tell him that she (Susan Villamayor) met a freak accident making her ill in the hospital in an attempt to foil the meeting of Romeo and her sweetheart Angela however what happened is otherwise. Romeo met a freak accident on his way to visit Susan in the hospital who pretends to be ill. Susan and her friend visit Romeo and in the hospital and ask for forgiveness for what she did.

          Second story was that of Amalia Macairog (Amalia Fuentes) who is a boyish beautiful young lady and Juancho (Juancho Gutierrez) who is a mama's boy with supervision of her religious mother. Amalia is an ordinary woman common people while Juancho came from a noble upper class family.

          The next was that of Rita Villamor (Rita Gomez), an heiress who inherit the wealth of his father upon his death. She married her first love Luis, the son of a farmer. He could not live up to her lavish lifestyle. He then left her and give her the freedom she wants. Amalia again met (Eddie Garcia) in a dance hall and begins flirting with her but she realizes uses for his own profit. She returned to her husband Luis who is working in their farm remorseful asking for his forgiveness.

         Finally, Luisa Estrella (Gloria Romero) narrates her heartbreaking experience during World War II. She needs to pretend as husband to Roberto to receive her reward of 500,000 pesos for helping and to pay it as a ransom to save his father from being executed by Japanese however her father arrived at the house of Roberto where they stay. Since then, Roberto and Luisa fall in love with each other.

          In the end, Susan was forgiven and reunited with her love, Romeo same with Rita and Luis, Luisa and Roberto and even the bitter of enemies Amalia and Juancho.

         The sing and dance number in the film is one of the most memorable musical sequence in Philippine cinema history.

"Sumpain ang mga babae!," he exclaims. Boksingera was supposed to be for action queen of the 50s Alicia Vergel but when she got married to Cesar Ramirez, she was not able to do it. It was supposed to be Susan's launching movie but the producer decided to release it at a later date because Susan was not yet known by the public at that time. So, Doc Perez introduced Susan first in Miss Tilapia. Together with the newly-discovered actor Romeo Vasquez, they played second lead to Gloria Romero and Ric Rodrigo. In the komiks serial, Boksingera was an action-drama novel fitted for Alicia Vergel but when she declined to do the movie, the storyline was changed to suit Ms. Roces and the producer decided to make it as a comedy-drama movie, and they added "Daw!" to the title of the movie.

Kristo is a 1996 Filipino cinematic interpretation of the life of Jesus Christ.

The narrative of Kristo is based on the combined Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but imagined as occurring in classical Filipino society with ethnic elements and some aspects of Ancient Rome and first-century Judaea. Kristo was shot in various locations such as Intramuros, Lawton and Luneta in Manila, as well as in Laguna and Pampanga.

The film starts with an open book presenting the Nativity of Jesus in the form of illustrations. Live action scenes or the flow of the story follows the next page 30 years after, beginning with the preaching of John the Baptist and the Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan. Kristo cycles through the various episodes in Christ's ministry, his death, and resurrection, ending with his ascension and its illustrated version on the last page with a Biblical message.

The Resurreccion's ancestral mansion is believed to have a portal to the other world. Every quarter of a century, it must be opened by a chosen member of the clan, known as "The One", to enable stranded ghosts to cross over to the afterlife. With no surviving clan member opening the portal in the past 100 years, ghosts have overcrowded the now-abandoned mansion.

Hesus Resurreccion (Vhong Navarro) is about to find out that he is The One but he is afraid of ghosts. When he inherits the mansion, he wants to sell it immediately but it isn't that easy since people believe the mansion is haunted. He totally freaks out when he learns that the people he sees in the mansion are all ghosts.

Hesus has no choice but to fulfill his mission as The One. As he spends more time with the ghosts, he realizes that they are not scary at all and even enjoys their company.

In the end Hesus got the key and opened the portal.

Celia's health declines upon learning of Daniel and Lilia's affair and serious relationship. She then decided to just break up with Daniel so he can live happily with Lilia while she takes care of her family. Later, Daniel learned about his wife worsening health condition and only him and their son could make her strong and recover back to good health. Celia then say her "Huling Dalangin" last prayer that his husband and son would be happier before she commits suicide but she was stopped by her husband before she can stab herself asking for her forgiveness and start a new life again as a normal happy family.

292. 10,000 Hours (2013)

In 2010, Sen. Gabriel Alcaraz prepares a privilege speech revealing details of a corruption scam at the highest levels of the government, implicating President Genoviva Obrero. However, on the day he is prepared to deliver the speech at the Senate, a close ally, NBI director San Juan, is assassinated while trying to warn him of a plan to arrest him. Undaunted, Alcaraz leaves his family and slips out of the Senate complex just as a police detail led by his old colleague, Director Dante Cristobal, move in to serve the warrant. He heads to the NAIA airport, but knowing that the police are waiting for him there, slips out of the country aboard a ship with help from TV reporter Maya Limchauco and an associate of the NBI chief. He arrives in Amsterdam, where Isabelle Manahan, a Filipino expatriate who works with the UN, shelters the senator but discourages him against contacting his loved ones back home; the family falls into despair from the backlash over his escape.

Flashbacks over the course of the film reveal that Alcaraz, Cristobal and San Juan were partners in the police force, who were assigned in 1986 to rescue Manahan who was then kidnapped by an erring judge. A police informer, Sebastian Jago, helped in saving Manahan. The judge is arrested but ten years later, he attempts to kill Alcaraz and his family for being the source of his woes; Alcaraz actually killed him in self-defense. Now hiding in the Netherlands, Jago is sought by Alcaraz to come home and clear his name, using a picture of his daughter and newborn grandson as encouragement.

The authorities alert Interpol about Alcaraz and gradually zero in on his location. The discovery of his whereabouts triggers his wife's stroke as Cristobal and Limchauco separately fly to the Netherlands to find him. Manahan provides Alcaraz and Jago with separate tickets to fly back to the Philippines. Limchauco successfully helps Alcaraz avoid Cristobal and the Dutch police, but wants to kill him instead to avenge her father's death. Alcaraz convinces her to get the whole story from Manahan and help Jago as he comes clean back in the Philippines.

Approximately 10,000 hours - one year, one month, and one week - after leaving the Philippines, Alcaraz flies back by private plane and reunites with his family. He plays over Maya's news show an audiotape Jago preserved for years, which names many corrupt government officials. However, nearly all of them are dead under various circumstances while a petty thug kills Jago in his cell and is subsequently silenced by a prison guard. The police chief, who hired the thug and the prison guard, tells President Obrero that another of the named officials is about to die of a stroke.

Dr. Dan Mendez has a mistress in Ester. She takes advantage of Dr. Mendez by blackmailing him to give her allowance in exchange for keeping their secret. They hit a young girl vendor one night and left her lying on the road hanging on her dear life.

Dr. Dan Mendez and her wife Gloria has two children, Berting and Myra. Berting has a girlfriend Rita who works in a cabaret and has several other special women friends. Berting presumably got one of them pregnant and that is the start for the misery of Dr. Mendez and his wife. Gloria really hates the idea that her son Berting is going to marry Rita.

One time Gloria caught Ester seducing her husband Dr. Dan Mendez in the clinic and brokenhearted stormed away grieving from the clinic. Dan then revealed and explained to Gloria about Ester and that she is a drug addict whom Dr. Dan wants to help recover. Berting on the other hand found out he is not the father of the child of Rita so he barge in the house and pulls out a dagger to threaten Eddie Garcia but he was imprisoned because he is wrongfully accused of stabbing Rita. The dying Rita then later confessed that it was a hallucinating drug addict Ester who stabbed her and put her behind bars.

Eddie Garcia sneaks out the house of Dr. Mendez one night and attempts to rape his daughter. The family of Dr. Mendez is about to leave the town when the townspeople angrily storm their house in protest but in the end when they learned the truth, the mob convince them to stay and the family even adopted a crippled girl whom Dr. Mendez treated.

Pakiusap, one of only five surviving pre-war Filipino movies, starred Rosario Moreno and Rudy Concepcion, whose screen tandem was extremely phenomenal and well-loved during their time.
Don Andres (Franco Garcia) and his son, Ernesto (Rudy Concepcion) were both in love with a pretty barrio lass, Amparing (Rosario Moreno), whose principled father, Mang Teong (Pedro Faustino) was working on the hacienda owned by Don Andres. Mang Teong was not in favor of Don Andres and his intention towards Amparing. He advised her daughter not to receive any gifts from Don Andres.
Ernesto, the good-looking son of Don Andres, on the other hand, disguised himself as a lowly farmer from a nearby barrio so as to get near Amparing. The two eventually fell in love.
Life became hard on the family of Amparing--- Mang Teong was fired from his job when he vehemently refused Don Andres’ gifts in exchange of Amparing’s hand. Her mother, Aling Clara (Naty Bernardo) was down due to a lingering illness. At the same time, she learned of Ernesto’s true identity. Amparing, feeling he was betrayed, broke off with Ernesto.

Amparing tried to look for job but to no avail. Desperate, she decided to approach Don Andres and ask for financial assistance--- for his father, who was in jail and for her ailing mother for the medical needs. In return, she had to marry Don Andres.
 
Ernesto returned and learned of Amparing’s upcoming marriage to his father. In a drastic move, he snatched Amparing.
It was a happy ending for the couple as Don Andres realized his mistake and ask for forgiveness.

Marco and Lianne start to develop a relationship but recent events cause Marco to be withdrawn. He suddenly finds himself haunted by a deep feeling of loneliness.
 
His yearning leads to a telephone conversation with Divina (Iza Calzado), the daughter of a haciendero. They find solace in each other. Divina lives in the past (1957) while Marco lives in the present (2006).
