My True THE SIMS 4 Story

Some of The Sims 4 Screenshots

I have been playing The Sims series for 9 years. I found the game in a store nine years ago and was intrigued about it. I played it for the first time after a month when we purchased our first pc. I enjoyed playing it hooking up to it for hours. At first I thought it would be the first and last time I will be playing the games and move on with another game. Little did I know by the next year, I found the upgraded and improved The Sims 2 base game in the store and so my curiosity grow in me that I purchased it and played it for awhile. In 2009, someone purchased me The Sims 3 an improved sequel to the previous The Sims series and been playing it until now. The only expansion pack I bought is The World Adventures and played it for a very short time since I got nauseous each time I play it. Then EA released The Sims Medieval in 2011 something about history and medieval period that I pushed myself to purchase it since I am a history buff I love history. I have some fun time learning something about history while playing it. Believe it or not but there are things in history specifically the Medieval Period that I only learn in The Sims Medieval.

In 2013 while I am working elsewhere, I have no idea that EA, Maxis and The Sims Studio told the eager fans they are developing The Sims 4 and that they will be releasing it in the fall of 2014. Then came 2014, I found out through the official Facebook Page of The Sims 4 that they will release the game in September 2, 2014 much to my surprise and delight. After a short delight, excitement and curiosity about it, my anxiety grew stronger vanishing my anticipation for it due to my pc being broke (I am using an outdated laptop to write this and other online work and gaming) and that I run low on funds on my Paypal and bank account.

Later, when The Sims 4 has been finally released and the eager fans and gamers posted one by one some screenshots and videos of their gameplay online I made a resolve. I would have my broken PC fixed by the end of the month and that I would lend some money from my father to pay someone who will purchase and send me The Sims 4 games. I will pay him once I got an online VA job. In short, this game gives me the drive to find some worthwhile job to be productive once again after a year of being jobless.

However, there is larger than life reason why I want this game badly. After I was struck with a couple of misfortunes or bad luck, losses (losing loved ones), failures, frustrations or disappointments, I lose the will to find a job and have a normal life, to hope and take action for the better. It's easy for me to give up, be idle lazy and sloth and sleep most of the time and waking up just to take some food. I feel like being immobile, have no reason to hope for a bright future and accept the gloomy life ahead. I have lots of sighs and grieving and even receiving lots of criticism, insults and bullying. I don't know but just recently when I realized that I have been playing The Sims series for almost a decade that I learn and accepted that The Sims series has already been a part of life and has impacted it in ways that I would go crazy nuts without it. I learn that The Sims series is not only a lucky charm or fortune for me but also my world revolves around it. As The Sims saga or series continues and progress from one generation to another so is my life evolves turning the pages into another. The games is a self-fulfilling prophesy! I use real people (my family, relatives, friends, acquaintances, people I met etc.) as my Sims characters to do things I want to happen in real life and believe it or not, IT REALLY DID HAPPEN in real life or its exact opposite. That is one of the more important reasons I want to have the game so bad. How I would see the future through the game's perspective.

I hope I could have the game soon. The question is how and when.

Nanny Behind Internationally Acclaimed ILO ILO Film Ignored

ILOILO Film Poster

Auntie Terry together with the men who she took care as a boy in the 1990s - Director Anthony Chen (left) and his brother

Auntie Terry recalling her fond memories with the Chen boys

Teresita "Auntie Terry" with Angeli Bayani the actress who portrayed her in the film

While the critically acclaimed film ILO ILO is making waves around the world receiving accolades and earning rave reviews from film critics and movie fans, the real nanny behind it Teresita "Auntie Terry" Sajonia was never given due recognition by the Congress or Philippine government. Sajonia who hails from San Miguel town in Iloilo is portrayed as a loving, kind, patient and understanding nanny who took care the cute boy of a Singaporean couple during the tumultuous Asian economic crisis of the 1990s. The boy happens to be the director itself Anthony Chen. The poignant film warmed the cold hearts of many because it showcased the modern beautiful Singapore with very warm affectionate family and how they treat people including their servants and workers. Angeli Bayani whose exemplary portrayal of Auntie Terry in the film epitomizes the warm hearted, kind, patient, hard-working and the sunny disposition of Filipino workers worth recognizing by the government because Filipino migrant workers are the driving force of the Philippine economy pouring in billions of dollars of overseas remittances every year. I wonder why these crappy corrupt politicians never dare to submit resolutions giving her at least an honor and due recognition if not really help her uplift her miserable situation. There is less media attention to her that these corrupt politicians want to make themselves feel good in front of the camera to consider giving her such an honor. All they want is to steal billions of pesos from taxpayer's money. So pathetic!

Sims 4 Is Here! WHAT'S NEW?

Electronic Arts (EA) and Maxis just released The Sims 4 last Tuesday, September 2 in North America and yesterday September 4 and 5 today the rest of the world but gamers and fans are already hooked up and going crazy over this game. Although some of the features of the game which is present in The Sims 3 was removed including the open world, the game introduced some features which are exciting and worth exploring. Here are just some of the new features of the game.

In creating Sims, there are new body parts where players can modify like the chest, arms and butts.

Sims act and work mostly based on their emotion or what they feel at the moment and largely influenced as well by their traits.

The traits to choose from decreased while the skills to acquire and enhance has increased to 23 and careers is up to 13.

For the first time, the Walk Style feature let players choose the way their Sims walk.

In Building homes, players can maximize their creativity by making a home they desire in terms of architectural style, shape, sizes and texture e.g. a house that looks like a Castle or an abode that looks like a cave or a pueblo dwellings or a home that shapes like a turtle's back.

New, fun and user-friendly interface gives the convenience for the players to play the game easier than ever.

I can't be able to buy the game for now maybe in few months time when I can have money and have my pc fixed.

Finest Philippine Leaders Filipinos Overlooked Or Ignored Part II

Pink Footbridge painted to look clean and decent by Bayani Fernando as Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman

Bayani Fernando Accomplishments

As Mayor of Marikina City

-          Ran and elected into office in 1992.

-          Transformed Marikina City from being a 4th Class Municipality into a model city accorded with 55 citations and distinctions. His administration as mayor transformed the former municipality into one of the best-managed cities and a paradigm of responsive and effective governance.

-          He led with great political will, with focus & determination and never waivered on his principles that he was able to help more than 30 thousand families who were squatters and at the same time get rid of the squatters problem in Marikina’s public places & near the edges of waters.

-          He implemented programs and reforms so that relocation was not the end goal, but providing means so that families could be self-sustaining was the ultimate goal. He has indeed succeeded in being able to turn around Marikina during his terms in office as mayor.

-          In his incumbency, he made Marikina one of the cleanest, friendliest and disciplined city in the country and says there is zero crime rate in Marikina at one time during his term.

As Secretary of Public Works and Highways Department

-          In his short term as a secretary of Public Works, he has shaped policy directions to ensure efficiency in the department.

As Chairman of Metro Manila Development Authority

-          Appointed as Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman in 2002 by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

-          As Chairman, Metropolitan Manila has undergone dramatic change into becoming a livable metropolis. With his exceptional administrative skills and leadership qualities that have now become the yardstick of performance, he continues to prove himself as an agent of positive change. This earned him the moniker “Mr. Governance”.

-          Fernando has been able to implement and utilize traffic programs, urban transportation programs, traffic engineering, and the Urban Transport Integration Project. All of which focus on the transportation sector.

-          Another key focus that should also be highlighted, and probably not even downplayed as MMDA chairman is his leadership in bringing programs that deals with flood control and drainage management. Again, Fernando’s ability to get to the actual problems, and dealing with them squarely is yet another sign of his management style.

-          Cleared the major streets of Baclaran, Quiapo and other Metro Manila areas of illegal vendors, peddlers, objects and structures thus leaving huge spaces and room for people to walk and free the places with dirty and unsightly visuals.

-          Installed pink urinals along the busy thoroughfares and other areas in the metropolis that are meant to discourage men from taking a leak against the walls though they have become the subject of criticism – the urinals have become smelly due to lack of maintenance.

-          For Fernando, instilling discipline while earning a living even for the humblest vendors is a way to elevate the decency and dignity of people from walks of life.

Achievements and Distinctions:

•         Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa, Ateneo de Cagayan

•         The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Award for Government Service

•         H.R Reyes Academic Medallion of Honor, Central Colleges of the Philippines

•         Doctor of the Public Administration, Honoris Causa by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines

Bayani is a man of few words but his actions are undeniable while Gordon is a workaholic working aggressively round the clock while being vocal to what he thinks is right or wrong and always upholding the truth, justice and the Constitution. The duo is one of the strangest ideal pair in Philippine politics that is worth a chance to be elected to the highest positions and serve the country and lead it in the right way. In 2016 Philippine National Elections also called as Presidential Elections we will see the maturity and level of thinking of the people in the National Capital Region or Metro Manila and some parts of the country. Metro Manila have a huge turnout in votes that would really determine who is going to win.

The people in the provinces or in other parts of the country outside Metro Manila and Luzon are always watching over and on the lookout on what is happening in the elections and just waiting for the perfect timing to gain advantage and seek opportunities that would benefit their respective region, provinces, cities and town.

Richard Gordon and Bayani Fernando are some of the finest leaders of the country that the Philippines never had the chance to receive their service that Filipinos missed that Filipinos had overlooked or ignored. It is time for them to make some noise, be heard and be visible to the remote places in the country rather than the “popular and the influential ones” who stole and continue to steal billions of pesos from Filipino taxpayer's money and until now make some noise with unprecedented controversies and humiliating scandals that the nation does not deserve for such beating but instead nation building through character building instilling discipline and other exceptional holistic virtues a public servant must possess to serve and lead. This is the country’s chance to take try their exceptional and selfless leadership and management style.

If these two will not run for the position and/or win the highest position in the country, we the people invite them to be our local advisors in Western Visayas region, Iloilo and Panay with regards to socio-economic policies of the region that will serve as guidelines or blueprint for immediate action and realization. Else we will push for full autonomy or federal form of government in the Philippines.
